PRINCIPLES AND ACTIVITIES OF OUR CRÈCHE
All working moms have struggled with the dilemma of having to leave the child behind and go to work. While family support is of course the best option where you know that you can hire the maid and your child will be looked after well at the home. However, with the nuclear family system of today, it is becoming more and more difficult to find a family member who can stay at home for the child. Thus, crèche is the only option that the working parents are often left with to look after their child.
Here are a few guidelines that you will find in our Crèche before selecting the crèche for your baby:
· Our Motivation for starting the crèche
· We Pay attention to the personal hygiene, house and surroundings.
· Before selecting any staff in our crèche we assess the mannerism of the caretakers, their education standard and reading ability.
· We have principle of admitting not much students as the individual attention is needed for children in any crèche at a time.
· We don’t allow to admit our staffs children at our school in order to give more attention on all children without any bias
· We have enough caretakers to look after all the children.
· We give information on what food is given to the children and what will you need to provide for the baby.
· We provide the water and milk after boiling and sterilizing the bottles and they are stored properly.
· Our caregivers knows the basic home nursing and first aid knowledge and we have a medical facility inside the premises.
· Having medical assistance, doctors and hospitals are nearby .
· We have the conveyance facility also.
· In our crèche Our staff knows the following languages-Tamil, English, Hindi etc and what all needs of the child are catered to at the crèche.
· We have recreational ideas, toys, picture books and types of outings that we arrange for the children.
· We do take care of safety precautions at the crèche for preventing falls, keeping children from wandering out of the house or to the staircases and keeping away medicines and other poisonous liquids or things out of reach of children.
· We do take care of whether kids have access to kitchen and if yes, we have enough safety precautions to keep children away from knives, gas, kerosene oil and matches.
· We do have the safety precautions in the bathroom and toilet facilities and in the water storage area.

Tips Of KPZ to Train Nonverbal Kids
- Though many of the people do not find the idea agreeable enough, some people are comfortable in letting their child follow them to the toilets so that they can be potty trained by watching their parents.
- In autistic children, speech delay is a common problem, which hampers effective communication. For this, here we use sign language such as PECS, Picture Exchange Communication System.
- In PECS system, cards carrying bold images are used, which serve as the medium of communication.
- Here we do give potty training facility for going to toilets.
- Here we enable the child to make use of these cards whenever they want to communicate anything.
- Autistic children rely on visual communication. Here we give step by step description starting from, pants down, sit on potty, toilet paper, flush, pants up, wash hands, etc.
- Here we Do not make the child rely too much on diapers. This is because diapers prevent the child from using the bathroom. Make your child wear disposable training pants at home, which would prove to be the best at the time of potty training. In effect, the child will feel uncomfortable from the wet feeling and will try to go to the toilet to eliminate.
-
Here we
teach child social stories which works well in
sending the message across, giving them a chance to
know things better with the help of simple language
and pictorial illustrations.
Assessment of the child in our KPZ
We do assess all children coming to our play school/crèche in the following ways

- What are his/her weaknesses?
- What is the schedule of his/her classes this year?
- Are group studies conducted for any subject? If yes, which subjects?
- How does he/she behave in a group?
- Is he/she comfortable addressing a large number of people?
- Is he/she working up to his/her ability?
- Are there any specific areas in which he/she needs to work harder?
- How can the parents help him/her at home?
- How does he/she interact with other students?
- Is he/she able to get along with other children?
- How does he/she behave with his/her teachers?
- How much time should he/she spend on homework?
- Does he/she show any signs of suffering from a mental/physical/emotional problem?
- Does he/she indulge in any extra curricular activities?
- Is there any particular field in which he/she does exceptionally well?

OUR TEACHING MECHANISM
Mrs Toral.A devised a method of early childhood education which was specifically designed to meet the basic needs of the child and help develop the child as a total human being. Our qualified Montessori teachers strive to ensure that your child's time with us is as enjoyable as possible while at the same time preparing them for a big school. Although we have a structured curriculum in place the Montessori teachers work with each child at their own individual pace in order to meet the needs of their specific personality. In addition, this helps to maximize their potential cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically.
Our Montessori teachers will communicate with the parents regarding each individual child behaviour and development on the daily basis. In addition to this we will communicate more formally by a way of monthly report forms outlining each child's learning progress and behavioral feedback as well as the objectives for the following month
We provide:
§ Personal development and motivation skills
§ A balanced hygienic snacks
You provide:
§ snacks
§ a change of clothes
§ important time with your child
§ DIAPERS/NAPPIES
In comparison to many other childcare facilities we are still very homely and small, consequently all our staff get to know each individual child, their parents, and often even extended family members and friends which leads to a friendly, personable environment in which to leave your child. We recognise that each child brings their own special ability to the group, and we seek to encourage recognition and acceptance for all.
